Briana Dockins

 

Briana Dockins, is a STOTT Certified Pilates Instructor, with a degree in Health Promotion Physical Education and Sports Studies with a Concentration in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine.

Growing up as a dancer and going to college for dance her first two years of college at Columbia College, Chicago and Western Kentucky University her interest in the body and how it works grew.  She began teaching fitness, yoga, and Pilates classes in 2001. Her training as an instructor began with courses such as Active Isolated Stretching with Aaron Mattes, and certifications from AFAA, FiTour, and Physical Mind. 

After receiving her degree in 2004 there was a calling for her to further her education and work experience on the East Coast.  In 2005-2006 she lived and worked in the Suburbs of New York City.  Quickly gaining a great deal of recognition for her skills with post-rehab patients, pre/post natal women, and elite athletes. She finished her training for all levels of Mat Pilates and all equipment through STOTT at Pilates on Fifth in Manhattan, getting certified in 2005. 

Feeling successful about her adventure to the big city, Briana moved back home to beautiful and friendly Kentucky! She is currently working for Frazier Rehab as a Rehab Tech for the Spinal Cord Injury Program.  

Eager to use all of her education and experience, she is now accepting new clients.
